About me. Software engineer, mostly infrastructure.
Hello! I'm a software engineer who fell in love with infrastructure. While releasing automation solutions for SCE's grid, I also ensure our on-prem systems run smoothly with 99% uptime and AI-assisted incident response capabilities.
How I got here. I liked taking things apart to see where they broke. That never went away. Now I point it at pipelines, graph models, and the alerts that page someone at 3am.

Work. Most recent first.
Jul 2025 – Present
Software Engineer
Southern California Edison, Rosemead, CA
GitOps, observability, and grid automation.
- Owned a self-service GitOps platform (Jenkins and ArgoCD on Ansible-provisioned Kubernetes) for a 16-service migration. Merge-to-deploy time dropped 45%, and a 35-minute shared build queue went away.
- Built on-prem observability and AI-assisted incident response for 42 Kubernetes services. Paging is automated, and MTTR fell from 1–2 hours to under 10 minutes.
- Built MLflow retraining workflows for 4 models with automated validation, cutting retrains by 32%.
- Automated network redundancy checks for 700 substations with Python and Neo4j. A check that took about 15 minutes now takes about 5 seconds.

Software Engineer Trainee
Southern California Edison, Rosemead, CA
Health checks, production incidents, and CI.
- Automated distributed health checks across 15,000+ network assets with Redis and Celery, saving 15 hours a week.
- Led the response to 4 production failures caused by compute bottlenecks and Unix patching regressions, with postmortems for each.
- Cut Jenkins CI build times 46% with pre-staged environments and cached Docker image layers.

Software Engineer Intern
Southern California Edison, Irvine, CA
Network provisioning and API security.
- Shipped a self-service Nokia network provisioning tool for 840 assets. Deployments went from 2+ hours to about 2 minutes.
- Secured 11 REST API endpoints with LDAP/Active Directory and rate limiting, enforcing compliance for 41 users.
Oct 2023 – Jun 2025
API Developer
ZotBins, Irvine, CA
Backend and IoT telemetry for a campus sustainability project.
- Built an ingestion pipeline (AWS IoT Core, Lambda, TimescaleDB) for 12 smart bins at about 2-second latency.
- Moved 12 always-on batch jobs to serverless AWS Lambda, cutting idle compute spend by $200 a month.
Sep 2023 – Jun 2025
Developer Project Advisor
FUSION at UCI, Irvine, CA
Mentored student teams building with Google FGN.
- Advised 6+ teams on database schemas, infrastructure, and CI/CD guardrails.
- Ran weekly workshops for 40+ developers. Reported technical confidence rose 61%.
